INVISO

Inviso is Norway's largest agency for residential photography and visual services for the real estate market. With over 150 professional home photographers and 30 home stylists, they operate throughout Norway.

I was assigned to refresh the realtor portal which manages properties and books photographers/stylists.

New Designs

I used IBM's Carbon Design System to give Inviso's pages a clean and modern aesthetic.

I interviewed realtors and photographers to gather feedback for design improvement and collaborated with developers to confirm my designs were technically feasible. The screens below are a few of my designs from the project.

Log In Page

The previous login page featured an option labeled "Stay signed in for 60 days" (refer to the screenshot below). However, this option was not utilized and lacked any specific security rationale for the 60-day period. Consequently, it was removed from both the design and the backend code to simplify the overall system.

Property Registration Page

Realtors provided valuable feedback regarding the registration process for new properties, expressing their concern about the excessive number of steps involved. Unfortunately, all the requested information is necessary, making it challenging to reduce the number of steps required. However, the previous design compounded the issue by distributing questions across five pages, resulting in some pages with only one or two questions. This fragmented layout contributed to a tedious experience.

In response to this feedback, my redesigned approach consolidates all fields related to property registration onto a single page. Additionally, I have implemented a tab-based navigation system, allowing users to swiftly move between input fields for enhanced efficiency.

Additionally, I implemented dynamic forms where the displayed fields adapt based on the selected property type. Previously, all fields were shown irrespective of the property type chosen.

Property Admin

This served as the "home page" for realtors, providing them with an overview of their properties and any pending tasks. However, the old design employed large, bulky icons to represent different property types. Additionally, there was excessive white space that did not serve a useful purpose, and realtors had to navigate into individual properties to access details regarding status, photographer information, and customer details.

To address these shortcomings, I revamped the layout by presenting all pertinent information in a simplified table format, enriched with search, filtering, and sorting functionalities. This streamlined approach significantly enhanced realtors' ability to organize information efficiently, locate relevant details more swiftly, and attend to crucial tasks without the need to constantly navigate in and out of individual properties.

Property Photos Page

This page served as a platform for photographers to showcase their work to realtors and customers.

However, the old design gave it a dated appearance reminiscent of the early days of the internet. It lacked visual appeal, predominantly displaying a dull, monotonous gray color scheme.

In my redesign, I aimed to place the focus squarely on the photographs themselves, ensuring they took center stage. Furthermore, I made the photographer's information readily accessible, facilitating effortless sharing and contact.

My designs never went live because Inviso were acquired in the summer of 2022 before my designs went to development . On the other hand, my designs were part of the acquisition package that increased the value of Inviso. I am proud that my designs helped Inviso reach a business outcome they were aiming for.
